No matter the result in the trial court, the appellate phase of a case is just as important as the trial, and often is even more so. Getting the right result on appeal requires insightful analysis, thorough research, persuasive writing and articulate oral argument. Sowell Gray takes pride in its abilities in each of these areas.
Our lawyers have the knowledge and experience to analyze each case to issues that may need to be raised in an appeal, and more importantly, to determine which of those may be important to highlight for the Court. Our clients' resources can then be more efficiently targeted to the issues that are most likely to make the difference. Some of our lawyers in this practice group have served as law clerks to appellate court judges, and therefore have insight into the appellate process that is particularly beneficial in the analysis of the issues on appeal.
