Alexis Lindsay sees things a little differently. She might look at an old painting and envision its potential if only it had a different frame. Or she might spot an interesting contrast between traditional hardware and modern lines and then spend days stripping down an old chest, creating something completely new.

That's why you'll often find her at antique and estate sales, searching for beauty in items others have abandoned. The pursuit takes patience - “Sometimes I'll be there for hours and walk away with nothing,” she says. Mostly, though, it takes an ability to see the possibilities and to view things from different perspectives. She's finding that those skills are as valuable in the practice of law as they are in hunting down and restoring forgotten treasures.
